About Wadax Atlantis Reference DAC

It is not so easy to describe this DAC because it is better for anyone to experience it in a proper setup than me writing about it.  The price tag precludes widespread ownership, but facts proved otherwise in the past 12 months.  There were no reviews but AE sold 7 units.  The biggest shock comes from Lincoln Cheng of Audiotechnique. Lincoln, who is a big fan of Audio Note UK decided to sell the ANUK flagship CD/DAC system in exchange for the Wadax Atlantis Reference DAC/Transport.  He even had to modify his rack in order to house the big Wadax DAC.  Why would he go through such hassles under a COVID environment?  We are about to deliver it to him.  Audiotechnique will do the photography for an upcoming cover page before settling permanently at Lincoln’s home.  Upcoming reviews from leading critics in the US and Europe will expound the technical mastery of it to the service of music.  The exceptionalism of it earns it a place in Divin Lab in Hong Kong, and the main studio of AE Singapore.  Unlike conventional digital playback, where there is always a ceiling limiting dynamic headroom, the Wadax flagship seemingly takes away this invisible ceiling.  This is a big deal, indeed.  The playback of SACD and DSD recordings via it is tremendous in resolution, unrestricted in dynamics, organic in lyricism,  palpable in silence, noble in sonority, transparent in decay, and majestic in presentation.

2nd Profile Video:

Energy and Space

“It's the silence between the notes, that holds the key to all music", said the French composer Claude Debussy. Mozart made similar conclusion. Maestro conductors in modern time such as Karajan, Bernstein, and Stokowski etc all agreed.

Music is an art. Art isn’t just about colour, but contrast. Music does not solely exist in the notes but also in pauses (silence between the notes or spacing). It is intangible in physical form but tangible in human senses. Silence has the power to punctuate notes and creates a sense of anticipation.

Thus, it is also correlated with tempo, dynamic, rhythm, harmonic progression and instrumentation, which in turn holistically define the energy level of any piece of music.

Legendary jazz musician, Mile Davis said “silence is more important than sound”.

Audio Exotics pursues genuine musicality through recreating the silence between notes on any recording.

Our systematic approach to annihilate noises will connect you easily with the souls of your beloved artists as though you are traveling in a Time Machine.

Given numerous humble works I had done over the past few years, it is about time to make a profile video of my company. The aim is to internationalise the company brand to broader audiences.

The world should know more about my tremendous amount of intellectual effort put forth in the art and science of recreating the soul of musicians.

Please come travel a Time Machine with us in Hong Kong and Singapore to reach any music on any recorded medium.
