Divin Lab

Divin Lab

Divin Lab is the flagship studio of Audio Exotics located in Ap Lei Chau (Southern Hong Kong).   It commenced operations in 2018.

Divin Lab Philosophy

One of the key goals of Divin Lab, is to recreate the realism and scale of a full-blown live orchestra.

The listener would not be able to tell where the sound propagates from, with the reproduction coming across as a limitless canvas. Much of this is in exploiting the potential of the time alignment abilities of the specially commissioned Goebel Divin Majestic loudspeakers/2 x Divin Sovereign Subwoofers alongside Arya Audio’s Magnus Opus – Air Blade Signature (180 degree augmentation tweeter).

Here, any listener easily distinguishes differences in energy radiated from individual musical instruments with respect to their locales across the soundscape. Also, silence between musical notes is palpable, since ground noises are tackled by two cost-no-object Tripoint Elite NGs. The room is fully treated by Acoustics Grove System rendering a natural kind of silence akin to serenity of a forest.  AC noises are annihilated by 2 x JMF Audio PCD102 and a Cloud 9 AC conditioner by Pranawire.  Then, 2 x Vividus are deployed to resolved radio frequency noises.  Mechanical noises are tackled by SRA Craze 3 rack, Wellfloat Pegasus rack, Falkenohr 516 rack alongside numerous Arya Revopod, and 2 x Wellfloat Babel.

Simply put, Divin is a soulful experience of the highest order.

The playback quality of Divin Lab is endorsed by acclaimed critics such as Alan Sircom of Hi Fi Plus, Roy Gregory of Audiobeat, and Lincoln Cheng of Audiotechnique.

Energy and Space

“It's the silence between the notes, that holds the key to all music", said the French composer Claude Debussy. Mozart made similar conclusion. Maestro conductors in modern time such as Karajan, Bernstein, and Stokowski etc all agreed.

Music is an art. Art isn’t just about colour, but contrast. Music does not solely exist in the notes but also in pauses (silence between the notes or spacing). It is intangible in physical form but tangible in human senses. Silence has the power to punctuate notes and creates a sense of anticipation.

Thus, it is also correlated with tempo, dynamic, rhythm, harmonic progression and instrumentation, which in turn holistically define the energy level of any piece of music.

Legendary jazz musician, Mile Davis said “silence is more important than sound”.

Audio Exotics pursues genuine musicality through recreating the silence between notes on any recording.

Our systematic approach to annihilate noises will connect you easily with the souls of your beloved artists as though you are traveling in a Time Machine.

Audio Exotics Hong Kong

Given numerous humble works I had done over the past few years, it is about time to make a profile video of my company. The aim is to internationalise the company brand to broader audiences.

The world should know more about my tremendous amount of intellectual effort put forth in the art and science of recreating the soul of musicians.

Please come travel a Time Machine with us in Hong Kong and Singapore to reach any music on any recorded medium.
